I was very pleased to finally get my tripod ladder. It should make all of my tree work much easier and safer. I debated whether to get the 6 foot ladder or 8 foot. I decided on 6 foot and I believe that that will be just what I need. (I am an older person and don't want to climb too high while attending to my fruit trees.) I was very pleased to see how well made the ladder appears to be with extra reinforcing with the front two legs. The weight is not excessive so I should manage carrying my ladder around without too much difficulty. I am a very happy customer at this point and after I have used the ladder in early spring I will update this review. I expect I will be able to say that the ladder works very well for me.

This is a very nice ladder. No problems. It came delivered by a freight company not UPS or FEDEX. For whatever reason noone from the freight company called me, I just followed up with Amazon who provided me with the freight company's number; I called the freight company to schedule the delivery. It did take a long time to get the ladder from Amazon to the freight company warehouse with the free shipping....I think about 30 days.

Extremely well made strong four foot fiberglass ladder. If your a big guy like me 250,300,350 lbs. then put safety first with this fine product. Very stable ladder with capacity for two people one on each side if extra hands are needed. Additionaly fiberglass is desired when doing electrical work. Granted, its a bit heavy to carry around but its worth the effort for the superior performance. If you need a really strong ladder with high weight capacity for all around use then you won't go wrong with this product.

Finally, a ladder that can make a 56 year old woman feel safe - and sane - while perched up in my 25 year old apple trees. The tripod design makes it easier to get up close to the trunk and in the center of the tree. The wide front legs make it stable on uneven ground. It is fantastic for pruning and picking fruit, when you've also got heavy equipment and loads to deal with. I expect to be able to keep my trees well pruned and well picked for years to come. Werner 12-Foot 375-Pound Duty Rating Fiberglass Stepladder #7312

We have a room with a 14' cathedral ceiling, and needed a 12' stepladder to reach the ceiling's peak. I had experience with a Werner model 6312 type 1A (300 lb. rated) stepladder and found it to be wobbly. I weigh 270 lbs. The 7312 type 1AA (375 lb. rated), costs more, but is more stable. No 12' stepladder is going to be "rock-solid", as it would be so heavy, no one would buy it. The 7312 weighs 50 pounds, which makes it practical for an average sized adult to carry and set up. Once opened, when it needs moving, I get directly under it, grab a step on one side and a brace on the other side, and lift the whole thing to move around.

The 7312 is only 3 pounds more than Werner's 300 lb. rated 12' stepladders, so its stability is due to additional bracing, rather than heavier components. The 7312 also has a thick aluminum top cap rather that the plastic top that comes on the cheaper ladders. The top cap has various holes and indentations to hold tools and small parts while you're working. See customer images.

Fiberglass stepladders are the safe choice if you will EVER work around electricity, such as installing an electrical box or lamp.

Other than price, the big negative with any 12' stepladder is finding a place to store it. You wouldn't want to leave it outside where it would get dirty; and if it's in the rain, the steel spreader mechanism will eventually rust.

If you can afford the higher cost (over a type 1A ladder), the excellent stability of the 7312 type 1AA will make you soon forget how much you paid.

This is a great ladder to have, Had one before but was borrewed and never return. A little costly compared to the department store ladders, but you will not find this type in your Home Depot's of Lowes store ether. Use my ladder for all types of jobs around the home that I need that extra 4 to 5 foot hight, both inside and outside.
